ALGOLASSI DESKTOP PRODUCT
AlgoLassi FileRecovery
A Windows x64 utility designed to keep a record of recent deletion activity, help inspect NTFS deleted-file candidates, and guide supported recovery attempts to a separate destination volume.

What it is designed to do
The project combines background deletion monitoring with NTFS metadata inspection. Recovery indicators are evidence estimates, not promises that deleted bytes can still be restored.
Monitor deletion activity
Watch ready NTFS fixed volumes for deletion notifications, record the latest affected paths where available, and keep a rolling history of up to 500 deletion records.
Track Recycle Bin items
Monitor items appearing in the Windows Recycle Bin separately and show their original location, filename, date, and size when that information is available.
Inspect NTFS candidates
Use NTFS metadata and deletion records to identify candidate files and inspect retained data-stream and cluster-allocation evidence where supported.
Use cautious recovery paths
For supported NTFS candidates, the recovery workflow checks available evidence and is designed to write output to a different volume rather than back onto the source drive.
A safer workflow after accidental deletion
- Stop writing to the affected drive. New files, downloads, installations, and other writes can reuse storage that might still hold deleted data.
- Review the records and evidence. A listed deletion or recovery-strength estimate is only a clue. It does not prove that the file is intact.
- Choose a different destination volume. Do not save recovered output back to the source drive; this reduces the chance of overwriting other recoverable data.
- Verify recovered files. Check that documents open and that archives, photos, videos, or other recovered files are usable before relying on them.
Important limitations
- File recovery is never guaranteed. Data may be unrecoverable after it has been overwritten or when SSD TRIM has cleared the relevant blocks.
- NTFS candidate scans and recovery-strength labels are based on retained metadata and current allocation evidence; they are not proof that the original bytes remain intact.
- Some NTFS USN-journal catch-up operations require running with administrator privileges. Basic deletion and Recycle Bin monitoring can remain available without elevation.
- This is an actively developed utility, not a substitute for a verified backup or a professional recovery process for critical data. Evaluate it on non-critical test data first.

Release information
Version: 1.0.0 ยท Platform: Windows x64 ยท Package: standalone published executable.
This is an actively developed recovery utility. Recovery is not guaranteed, and results depend on drive type, overwrites, TRIM, and the filesystem evidence still available. Test it on non-critical data before relying on it.
